Low voltage switchgear is an economically designed independent vertical switchgear with separate outer compartments, featuring a built-in main circuit breaker (ACB or MCCB), instrumentation, and control and protection systems. Its vertical bus and cable ground is located at the common compartment.
Switchgear using ACB (Air Circuit Breaker) usually comes with a drawer for easy testing and repair, but it can be custom-ordered to come in a molded case. Likewise, switchgear with MCCB (Molded Case Circuit Breaker) can also be designed with a drawer, while PT (Potential Transformer) for bus voltage monitoring comes in a drawer to be installed in the PT compartment.
