Established in 1984, Company relies its future on technological development. In response to this philosophy, the engineering professionals of various fields at the Corporate R&D Institute endeavor to develop World-best proprietary technologies that go into the profit-oriented power systems.

To meet this vision, the Corporate R&D Institute reorganized its structure as product-oriented teams and introduced tools for advanced R&D management to help bolster the engineering professionals’ capability. Furthermore, the Corporate R&D Institute opened 2 domestic branches to accelerate its future business in Daeduk and Suji.

 •  1996. 01   Renamed as Doosan Heavy Industries Technological Institute
 •  1997. 11   Won the Presidential award at a precision technology contest.
 •  1998. 05   Won the IR52 Chang Yeong-sil Prize (presented by the Minister of Science and Technology)
 •  2000. 03   Won the Prime Minister’s award as a model corporate technological institute
 •  2000. 06   State-designated as a model technological institute in the materials sector
 •  2001. 08   Selected as a KOLAS by the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards
 •  2001. 09   The Boiler Experiment Building was renovated
 •  2002. 03   Won the KT Mark from the Minister of Science and Technology
 •  2004. 04   Took-Off CTO System
 •  2004. 07   Reorganized as Product-Oriented Teams
 •  2005. 03   Opened the R&D Domestic Branches(Daeduk, Suji)
 •  2006. 02   CTO, Elected as a member of Korea National Academy of Engineering
